R.A.B.C = Rebel Academic Backers Club

In the past few years RABC has accomplished many great things at TCH while having fun and building new friendships.  RABC enables parents to participate and support Teurlings Catholic High School in several ways while promoting academic excellence and enhancing the productivity of TCH.

Below is a list of ways you can assist the Rebel Academic Backers Club. Look it over and if there is something you would like to help out on, contact Ann Dugas, Development Assistant. She can be contacted by email at:  Let her know which things you want to help with. Include your name, phone number (day and night) and the name(s) and grade level(s) of your child (ren) who attend TCH.

The RABC needs assistance with the following items:
HOSPITALITY – Jamie Toups, Chair.  This enthusiastic group of parents provide refreshments for several events throughout the school year as well serve as host during 8th Grade Open House (November 10, 2016) and Grandparents Day Mass receptions (April 6 & April 27, 2017). 
FACULTY RECOGNITION – Monica Salopek, Chair.  This committee holds one preparation meeting at the beginning of the year to organize and plan teacher luncheons for the entire school year.  You have the opportunity to pick and choose when and what you would like to prepare (i.e. entrée, vegetable, salad, dessert).  This year’s luncheons will be held on September 15th, October 20th, January 19th, and February 16th.
CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK – Nessie Laviolette, Chair.  This committee recognizes our faculty and staff in various ways during Catholic Schools Week which will be celebrated January 29, 2016 thru February 4, 2016.
SWAP SHOP – Elizabeth Alex, Chair.  This group of parents help maintain the uniform swap shop.  Once or twice a month, at your leisure, you can come in and fold uniforms and place them on the shelves.  This allows parents and students to come in and trade uniforms and/or purchase gently used uniforms.  
STUDENT INCENTIVES – Raquel Quebodeaux, Chair.  Thanks to your donations, RABC provides 20 prizes ($15.00 – $20.00 value) every quarter to students who maintain honor roll status, as well as grand prizes (TV, IPAD, Tablets, Cash etc.) at the annual Academic Pep Rally.
 “DANCING WITH THE REBEL STARS” – Ann Dugas, Chair. This year’s rebel stars will be revealed on October 14, 2016, and the show will be on April 29, 2017.  This committee helps us facilitate the events, assist with the decorations and making sure everything runs smoothly.  The evening promises to be one of great entertainment as dancers compete for the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy.
