Honors Program
Teurlings Catholic's Honors and Dual Enrollment programs provide motivated students with opportunities for deeper learning, college preparation, and academic distinction while receiving the support of our faculty and guidance team.
Honors Program
Students in the Honors Program engage in advanced coursework designed for students ready to take on academic challenges.
Dual Enrollment Program
Students in the Dual Enrollment Program earn college credit while completing coursework at Teurlings Catholic High School through partnerships with Louisiana universities. Dual Enrollment courses are considered to be honors courses at Teurlings Catholic High School and count as such in determining honor graduate status.
Father Joseph F. Brennan Academy
The Father Joseph F. Brennan Academy is a distinguished academic pathway recognizing students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, commitment, and perseverance through all four years of high school. Students in this program pursue a rigorous course of study and are honored for sustained excellence.
Students who meet all four years of criteria are recognized as Father Joseph F. Brennan Scholars at Senior Honors Convocation prior to graduation.
Honor Graduate Categories
Teurlings Catholic High School proudly recognizes graduating seniors who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement through our Honor Graduate distinctions. To receive the distinction of Honor Graduate, a student must have no final average in any course lower than 70% and a GPA of no less than 3.5.
TCHS will recognize the following Honor Graduates at commencement:
Msgr. Charles Fortier Honor Graduates
- 4.000 GPA
- Minimum of 14 completed honors courses
(Minimum completed honors courses needed: Class of 2027 and beyond=15)
Father Bede Becnel Honor Graduates
- 3.500 GPA
- Minimum of 14 completed honors courses
(Minimum completed honors courses needed: Class of 2027 and beyond=15)
Sister Angelle Bell Honor Graduates
- 3.500 GPA
- Minimum of 12 completed honors courses
(Minimum completed honors courses needed: Class of 2027 and beyond=13)
Sister Julie McDougall Honor Graduates
- 3.500 GPA
