Welcome to the Speech and Debate Team's information page. Here you will find all information related to the TCH Speech and Debate Team, including rosters, schedules and tournament results. This is also the place to find info about the annual school plays sponsored by TCH Speech.
March 2007: Speech coaches whose students have earned more than 60,000 points are recognized with an NFL key. The National Forensic League has recently announced that Josette Surratt earned a third diamond for her NFL key. At this time, there are more than 3500 teachers and 93,000 students that are active members of the NFL. There have only been 463 coaches who have received this honor since the NFL was started in 1925. Under Ms. Surratt's direction, her students have earned over 72,290 credit points! Congratulations Ms. Surratt...we are very proud of you!

Teurlings Speech Wins State
2008
Congratulations to the Teurlings Speech and Debate team who
competed at the Tournament of Champions in Alexandria during the weekend
of April 4-6, 2008. The team captured 1st place sweepstakes, making the
team State Champions, and placing were:

Cassie Boudreaux and Danielle Cottonham-1st in Duo
Arielle Latiolais-1st in Oral Interpretation
